There are two fishing ponds at Trehill. Only guests staying at Trehill and Long Barn Cottages may fish on them. They are well stocked with a variety of species, the most common of which is Carp. There are also, Rudd, Mirror carp and Tench. The fish are easy to catch and come in at a top weight of 7-9lbs. The largest fish in the main ponds are more difficult to catch & come in at up to 14lbs (2015).

If you want some variety in your fishing, there are numerous commercial fisheries nearby as well as some fantastic deep sea fishing.

Most of the cottages have direct views out onto the fishing ponds and nowhere are you more than 50m from the fishing. Rod licences are available in Callington for those that need them. There is a tackle shop in Liskeard (about 12 minutes away). These ponds are for private use only, so the fish are maintained in very good condition.

We do not provide rods for hire and we do expect a standard of competence from fishermen and women so that our fish remain healthy.
